Concerto de Aranjuez – Travel video put together with iMovie from still photographs. These were taken in March of 2005. We travelled to the southern coast of Spain and stayed at a timeshare in Malaga. We took day trips to Granada to go to the Alhambra, to Seville to see the gardens and internet site of the Palacio de Justico, and Rhonda where the oldest bull ring in Spain is situated. It was the wrong season for bullfighting and the ring was not open when we visited. Spain is a wonderful vacation spot and the men and women there are friendly, the food is exceptional and the rates are reasonable. I highly advise a visit there. The music selection is Concerto de Aranjuez, by Joaquin Rodrigo from the album Concierto Guitarra Española.
The pursuit of Italy, by David Gilmour, just one of the many examples that show their mixed Syrian, Jewish, Egyptian, Moorish, etc., blood since way back to Roman times: “In this superb history of Italy and the Italian people… a nation of bewilderingly mixed bloods and ethnicities.”
Spain is a normal southwestern European nation. Italy, the land of the Italian peepz of the retarded troll below this post clumsily pretending to be a “redneck”, is, not quite. Its general feel is quite different from the rest of Europe, it has more of a mix with the Near East and Africa to it.
Spain with it’s food, culture, people, it’s sites and just general feel is much different than normal European countries like the France U.K Estonia Romania etc Spain has more of a mixture of Mid East and African feel to it
Exotic Nation by Barbara Fuchs here is an sample
Spaniards of the place of Moors and their descendants within Spain. Meanwhile, observers from outside Spain recognized its cultural debt to al-Andalus, often deliberately casting Spain as the exotic racial other of Europe.
I Don´t see any contradictions I just reffer to facts and your actitude and poor remarks prove just what I said…. On the contrary remember that i am a Spaniard who is AGAINST bullfidgting…the difference between you and I is that i don´t widespread lies on the net about bullfihting or its culture and I defend the rights of all animals.
maybe you shold look for another holliday country…I honestly don´t thik you fit in this country
“insulting a whole people is not a way to solve problems. Your arrogant attitude is typically BRITISH” Spot the contradiction!!
Hilarious way to lose an argument .
I consider myself also an artist and I do´nt think I am shelfish…so speak for yourself! and garcia lorca was not selfish.
You insist on insulting, in a childish way, all spaniards and foreigners who go to bullrings, you have not a right to do that. Of course only you are right and the rest are wrong. You don´t really care about animal abuse, you can find it everyehere , also in your country, insulting a whole poeploe is not a way to solve problems. Your arrogant actitude is tipycal british.
Those artists were a product of their time and culture; a culture with a barbaric attitude to animals. The day we look to artists for a moral example we are in trouble. Artists are the most selfish and self indulgent of people; I know – I am one.
If you think torture and death are art you have no brain – and no heart.
Obviously you are an illetrated person, with little knwoledge about literature and folklore. Maybe you think that Federico garcia Lorca (of course you may don´t know who he is) was an ignorant person…his poetry was extremely sensitiv even when he speaks about bulls in his poetry. Like him many other artist from Goya to Picasso. Bullfighting is not about mere enterteinment, only a narrow-minded and ignorant person like you could say that
You are a fan of spain but not a fan of culture
Correction – people who go to bullrings THINK that they are “cultured and sensitive”. That delusion is only possible in a society that brings its children up to believe it’s acceptable to torment animals to death.
Spare me the “culture” argument too. Or I’ll remind you about wife burning, foot binding, slavery, throwing Christians to lions,oh, and not long ago when every bull ‘fight’ began with 2 horses being gutted by the bull. Those audiences thought they were “cultured” too.
Why do you tell me that? I´ve never been to a bullfight because, as you, I find it cruel but you have to understand than it is also a part of the Culture of many peoples, in Spain and abroad. The bull of lidia has a very pleasent life, certeinly not its death, and if this superb animal still exist is because of bullfight…otherwise it would have dissapeared long ago. People who go to bullrings are sensitive and cultivated people, -not vicious at all- and admirors of this noble animal.
Hard for you to understand – but most of C21st civilisation finds the slaughterhouse a regrettable and unpleasant necessity – not a fun day out with the wife and kids . . .
Please don´t talk about morality. As a gay man I´m happy to live in a country where I have more rights than in your U.K or Gibraltar where gay people have no rights at all…Shame on you!
According to you the main thing is not preserving animal life…it is ok to have them in cages, to slave them turning them into pets or even kill them but their death must be secret, concealed from our eyes…. I find your moral very hipocrital don´t flee from reality and don´t accuse spaniards of vicious
I am infact a fan of Spain. One of the best nights out of my life was at the bullrun, Pamplona(!). And last year I spent New Year’s in Barcelona, and visited Granada and Toledo.
I have no problem with ‘fighting’ with bulls if men want to endanger themselves. I do object to a captive animal being encouraged to try and kill a horse, being speared, being impaled with 6 harpoons, being stabbed with swords and finally a knife; for entertainment. If you don’t find that ‘vicious’ your morality belongs in another century.
I´m sorry to say you have absolutely no idea about bullfighting. I Don´t know much, I don´t like I don´t recomendet it but it´s nothing to do with ” a vicious form of cruelty for enterteinment” that´s pure slander. Bulls, like cows, must die to be eaten by people…and we do eat bulls meat…remember that if this nice breed of bulls still exist is just because of bullfighting…in the rest of Europe these bulls were all annihilated…
yor remark about the fascit era is simply absurd
Thank you bernabemido! Yes, We love Españia and especially Granada. The people are very warm and friendly. We didn’t see inside the Alhambra because tickets sold out early. Our guide book said it would not be a problem; no reservations needed, but I guess holiday weeks when the locals are on vacation is an exception. Still, we enjoyed the Alahambra gardens and now we have a good reason to return to Granada.
Best wishes from Halesite, NY

Thank you for such a nice compliment, maotoni. Spain is a great destination; rich in history, architecture, and culture. The folks there are very friendly, and it is not as expensive as many other places in Europe.

Nice video friend. I hope you liked the Albayzin and the Alhambra, because they are our jewels.
